How do I make a card?

A card is a picture with your words on it: a design picked for the person and the occasion, a photo if you like, and your wish on top. On the phone, the card is tall, the shape of a phone screen, so it looks right when it opens in WhatsApp or Messages.
Open the card maker
On the phone, tap a celebration on Home or in Celebrations, then tap Card. Or, while writing a wish, tap Turn it into a card and your wish becomes the words on the card.
On the web, open a celebration with Write a wish and click Turn it into a card.
Make your card on the phone
The card fills the screen. Along the bottom is a bar with Design, Photo, Text and Send. Tapping Design, Photo or Text opens a tray just above the bar, and the card shrinks so you can still see all of it. Tap the same button again, or tap the card, to close the tray.
- Tap Design and pick a design from the strip. The first ones are picked for this person and occasion, and a line above them says why. Designs with a small picture badge have a photo frame.
- To add a photo, tap Photo, then From Gallery or Take a photo. If your design has no frame, ViamOne switches to one that does. Tap Remove to take the photo off.
- Tap the words on the card to select them. A dashed outline appears.
- Drag the selected words to wherever you want them on the card.
- Tap the words again to type. Keep it to four short lines, one per line. Tap elsewhere on the card when you're done.
- To change how the words look, tap Text. Choose a font (Handwritten, Classic or Bold), a size (Small, Medium or Large), a colour, or Top, Middle or Bottom to snap them into place.
- Tap Send.
Send it
After you tap Send, choose:
- Send now opens your phone's share sheet: WhatsApp, Messages, Mail or Save Image. You press send yourself.
- Schedule sends it at a time you pick, or reminds you to. See How do I schedule a wish to send on the day?.
What you see is what they get: the picture that's shared is made from the same card. Sharing a card also marks that celebration as done.
Tip: Start from the wish rather than the Card button, and your words are already on the card.
Make a card on the web
The web has the same designs, photo and text options. The card sits beside Design, Photo and Text tabs, and the card is square.
- Pick a design under Design, or add a photo under Photo with Choose a photo.
- Drag the words on the card to move them. Click them to change the lines, then click Done.
- Under Text, choose the font, size, position and colour.
- Click Download card to save the picture, or Schedule the send.
Didn't work?
The designs don't load
You'll see "Couldn't load the designs." Check your connection, go back and open the card again.
My words won't move
Tap the words once to select them, then drag. A second tap opens the typing box instead.
Some of my wish is missing from the card
A card holds up to four lines. Tap the words, shorten them, and put each line on its own row.
Send is greyed out
Wait until the design has finished loading on the card, then try again.
